1. TYPES OF DATA WE COLLECT
88 Miles collects three general categories of data.
With reference to the 'Notes' field, the Data Controller invites you not to indicate special categories of data such as data relating to health status (information on any motor disabilities, allergies, intolerances, etc.), religious beliefs, sexual orientation, political and philosophical opinions
1.1. Information you provide to us directly.
We collect the data you share with us when you use the direct contact platform on the website www.88miglia.it or on third party sites such as www.booking.com, www.expedia.com and their affiliate sites
Account data. When asked to provide certain data such as your name, email address and date of birth.
Profile data. To use certain features, you may also be asked to complete a profile which may include your address, telephone number and gender.
Other authentication information. To help create and maintain a reliable environment, we may collect identification data or other authentication information.
1.2 Information that we automatically collect from using the site’s Platform.
When you use the site platform, we collect information about the services used and how you use them.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and other similar technologies, and mobile device identifiers. Without prejudice to the fact that you can disable the use of cookies through your browser settings, we will not change our practices following a “Do Not Track” signal in the HTTP header coming from the browser or mobile application.

88 Miglia may collect data that others provide about you, or obtain information from other sources and combine it with the information we collect through the site’s Platform, the information you decide to send us freely by email or communicate directly or by telephone.

3. SHARING AND COMMUNICATION
3.1 With your consent.
We may share your data at your discretion or as described at the time of sharing, for example when you authorize a third party application or website to access your credit card data.
3.2 Sharing between 88 Miles and third parties.
To help facilitate reservations we can share your data with third parties as indicated below:
When, as a Guest, you send a booking request, some data concerning you may necessarily be shared between third-party sites and 88 Miles, including your name and surname, the full name of any additional Guest, the history of the cancellations and changes and other information that you agree to share. When your booking is confirmed, additional information, including for example your telephone number, will be visible at 88 Miglia to provide assistance in organizing the trip.
We would never share your billing and payment information with third parties except for banks that provide POS, Virtual POS and Web Store services to 88 Miles.
3.3 Profiles, Announcements and other Public Information.
The platform of the website www.88miglia.it allows you to publish information that is visible to the general public. For example:
The data you share publicly on the site can be indexed by search engines not managed by 88 Miglia. We do not control the practices of third-party search engines and they may use cache memories containing non-updated data referable to you.
3.4 Service providers.
We use a variety of third party service providers to help us provide services related to your stay. Service providers may be located inside or outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). For example, service providers can help us: (I) verify or authenticate your identity, (II) verify information by comparing it with public databases, (III) provide us with assistance in checks for fraud prevention and risk assessment or (IV) provide customer support, advertising or payment services. These suppliers have limited access to your data to perform these operations on our behalf and are contractually bound to use such data in accordance with the GDPR.
3.5 Payments.
88 Miglia may share your personal data to: (I) provide Payment Services, (II) facilitate the use of the Payment Platforms (III) offer products or services to you jointly with third party financial entities with whom 88 Miglia has a formal agreement. The user can choose to refuse to provide the payment data necessary to accept the booking even if doing so 88 Miglia will reject the booking itself.
3.6 Safety and compliance with laws.
88 Miglia may communicate your data to courts, law enforcement authorities, government authorities or authorized third parties if and to the extent that it is required to do so by law or if such sharing is reasonably necessary: (I) to comply to a legal procedure and to respond to claims made against the 88 Miglia, (II) to respond to verified requests relating to a criminal investigation or to an alleged or suspected illegal activity or to any other activity likely to exhibit 88 Miglia, yourself or any other user or customer with legal responsibility, (III) to manage and enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements, (IV) for the purpose of investigation and prevention of fraud, risk assessment, customer support, and debugging or ( V) to protect the rights, property or personal safety of 88 Miglia, its employees, its customers or the general public.
We will attempt to inform customers of the aforementioned requests unless: (I) providing such notification is prohibited by the applicable legal process, based on an order received by a court or in accordance with the law, or (II) we believe that the notice is useless or ineffective, creates a risk of injury or bodily harm to an individual or group of individuals or creates or increases a risk of fraud against the property of 88 Miglia, its customers and the website. In cases where 88 Miglia comply with legal requests for data communication without giving notice to the user for the aforementioned reasons, 88 Miglia will try to inform the user concerned about the request as soon as it determines in good faith that this is no longer prohibited for law and that no risk scenarios are configured.
3.7 Working group.
To provide assistance we may share your data within our working group. These shares are covered by this Privacy Policy and in the event of services are subject to specific additional terms, we will notify you via PEC or alternatively ordinary mail.
3.8 Widget.
We may display parts of the www.88miglia.it website (e.g. public parts, comments and reviews) on sites managed by 88 Miglia commercial partners using technologies such as widgets or APIs. 3.9 Tax authorities.
In the countries where we facilitate the collection and payment of Tourist Taxes, Guests expressly authorize 88 Miglia, without the need for further notice, to communicate data and other information concerning them or relating to their transactions, reservations, invoices and Tourist Taxes to the competent tax authorities; such data may include, by way of example, the name of the Guest, the address, the dates and the amounts of the transactions, the tax identification codes, the amount of taxes received (or due) from 88 Miglia by the Guests and contact information.
3.10 Business operations.
If 88 Miglia undertakes or is involved in any merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets or bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings, it may sell, transfer or share some or all of its data, including customer data. In such cases, you will be informed before your personal data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS
4.1 Analysis of your communications.
We may examine, scan or analyze your communications on the website www.88miglia.it and reach us by email, for the purpose of fraud prevention, risk assessment, obligations imposed by current legislation, investigation, customer service. We will use automated methods when reasonably possible. However, we may occasionally have to manually check certain communications, including, for example, anti-fraud investigations and customer support. We will not review, scan or analyze your communications to send you marketing messages and we will not sell analysis of those communications.
4.2 Google Maps/Earth.Some parts of the www.88miglia.it site use Google Maps / Earth services, including the Google Maps application programming interfaces (API). Use of Google Maps / Earth is subject to the Google Maps / Earth Additional Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.
5. PARTNERS
The www.88miglia.it website may contain links to third party websites or services, such as, for example, third party integrations, co-branding services or third party brand services (“Third Party Partners”). 88 Miglia does not own or control these third-party Partners and when you interact with them, your data may be provided directly to third-party Partners, 88 Miglia or both. These third party partners have their own rules on the collection, purpose of the processing and communication of data. We invite you to carefully read the privacy policies of the other sites you visit.
6. THE USER’S CHOICES
6.1 Cancellation.
You can review, update or delete your data by accessing the website www.88miglia.it or by sending us an email with the cancellation request.
However, your data will still be kept for the time necessary to carry out the legal obligations and for the time required by current regulations and laws.
6.2 Cancellation of reviews or comments.
We invite you to keep in mind that all the information you share with others (including, for example, Reviews or forum publications) may continue to be publicly accessible on the Platform of the site in association with your name, even after your data is been deleted.
6.3 EU and Japan residents: Review and update your information.
You can request us in writing to receive copies of your personal data in our possession. We will provide a copy of your personal data in our possession as soon as possible and in any case no later than 40 days from the receipt of a valid request in writing. However, we may request proof of your identity to verify the request for access to data.
If your personal data in our possession are not accurate, you can let us know and we will update the relevant data. You can also request the deletion of your personal data in accordance with the applicable data protection legislation. We will inform you within 40 days of your valid request regarding the relevant actions taken.

7. GLOBAL OPERATOR
As described in this Privacy Policy, we may share your data with third parties. When you use the platform of the site and directly send us an email or make a valid reservation also through agencies or third-party sites, you authorize us to transfer, store and process your data.
The data collected within the EEA can be transferred, stored and processed outside the EEA for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. By using the site platform, you consent to the transfer of your data to these countries.
8. SECURITY
88 Miles constantly implements and updates administrative, technical and physical security measures aimed at protecting your data from unauthorized third party access, destruction or alteration in compliance with the new GDPR.
However, the Internet is not a 100% safe environment and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of the transmission or storage of your data sent to us by email, through third parties (e.g. booking.com or Expedia or third-party agencies) or otherwise necessarily processed on the network.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
88 Miglia reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time in accordance with this section. In the event of changes to this Privacy Policy, we will publish the updated version on our proprietary website and update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. We will also notify you of changes made by email at least thirty (30) days before the effective date. If you do not agree with the modified Privacy Policy, you can delete your data in accordance with point 6 of this. If you do not request the deletion of your data before the date of entry into force of the updated Privacy Policy, it will constitute your acceptance of the Privacy Policy as last modified.
